At Spicy Grove Ministries, we are committed to transforming lives and strengthening families in Oracabessa, Jamaica, through holistic programs and meaningful partnerships that serve children, youth, and adults year-round.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT & FAMILY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (CDFE)
The Child Development and Family Empowerment Program is the heart of our mission—strengthening families by nurturing children, equipping youth, and empowering caregivers.
Through a continuum of support that spans generations, we focus on long-term transformation rooted in education, faith, and community.
This program includes:
Special Jewels After-School Program
Providing academic support, enrichment activities, and spiritual development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Vybz Engaged: Youth Engagement
Preparing young people for adulthood through mentorship, leadership training, service projects, and vocational exploration.
Adult Empowerment Initiatives: Supporting parents and caregivers through a range of services, including:
- Adult literacy classes
- Skills training and economic empowerment
- Parenting workshops
- Spiritual support groups
By reaching the entire family, we invest in the community's future—one household at a time.

Mission Team Partnerships
We welcome mission teams throughout the year to serve alongside us and bless the community in tangible ways:
Children’s Ministry Outreach
Mission teams lead Vacation Bible School-style activities filled with songs, stories, games, and crafts that share God’s love with local children.
Facility & Construction Projects
Teams assist with repairs and improvements to our ministry campus—including painting, carpentry, landscaping, and more—to ensure a safe and welcoming space for all we serve.
Church & Community Support
In partnership with local churches, our teams help with outreach events and building projects that strengthen the wider body of Christ in Jamaica.
Today, Spicy Grove Ministries remains deeply committed to the people of Oracabessa and the surrounding communities. From spiritual engagement, educational support, meals, and mentorship; parenting support and certified vocational training; we continue to invest in children, youth, and
their families, bringing hope and the love of Christ that leads to lasting transformation.
