OUR HISTORY

Rooted in Faith, Committed for the Long Haul

Spicy Grove Ministries was founded in 2011 by the late Rev. Harry Daniel Myers in Oracabessa, Jamaica. Guided by a divine calling, Pastor Danny was moved by the needs of vulnerable children and families in the community. His response was not a temporary mission, but a long-term commitment to transformation—spiritual, educational, emotional, social, and physical.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

What began as a small after-school program has grown into a vibrant ministry that touches lives year-round through holistic, Christ-centered outreach. Pastor Danny’s vision centered around providing a safe space where young people could be mentored, nurtured, and equipped with life skills. His unwavering belief in the potential of every child laid the foundation for the ministry's approach to community development.

Following Pastor Danny’s passing in 2022, his wife and ministry partner, Grace Myers, stepped into leadership. As Chief Executive Officer, Grace continues to carry the vision forward with strength, wisdom, and compassion—preserving Pastor Danny’s legacy while building a future rooted in love, faith, and empowerment.

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in

these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
